Welcome to KHL

Tanzania is East Africa’s unspoiled paradise — home of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s most spectacular migration through the Serengeti Plains, breathtaking crystal-blue ocean waters, and a people known for their spirit of hospitality, kindness and generosity.

How high?

At over 5,895m/19,000 feet, it is the highest point in Africa and a destination for some of the world's most adventurous and dedicated climbers.

The Peaks

The Mountain is made up of three volcanic cones Shira, Mawenzi, and Kibo. While the other two are extinct and cut off from the flow of lava, Kibo is dormant.

Let's Explore Tanzania

A beautiful country

Tanzania is a very peaceful, beautiful African country a few degrees south the equator. Tanzania has an area of over 930,000 square kilometers and enjoys over 800kms of sandy beaches, along the Indian Ocean, and is the land of the spectacular snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro, romantic Spice Islands of Zanzibar and Pemba, the unique Ngorongoro Crater, the world-famous Serengeti National Park, the tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara National Park, the prehistoric sites of Olduvai Gorge (Dr. Leakey’s archaeological sites), and many, many more.

Breakfast With Flamingos

Flamingos are indeed a remarkable sight in Tanzania. These elegant and vibrant birds are known for their distinctive pink feathers and graceful stature. Tanzania is home to several prime flamingo habitats, attracting thousands of these magnificent creatures. Lake Natron, located in the northern part of Tanzania, is renowned for its massive population of Lesser Flamingos. The alkaline waters of the lake provide an ideal environment for these birds to feed on algae and brine shrimp, resulting in breathtaking displays of pink hues. Additionally, Lake Manyara, part of the Great Rift Valley, is another notable flamingo hotspot in Tanzania. The sight of large flocks of flamingos gathered on the lake’s shores is a mesmerizing spectacle for visitors and wildlife enthusiasts alike. With their striking appearance and graceful presence, flamingos add a touch of natural beauty to Tanzania’s diverse and captivating wildlife.
