Our History
My wife Mary and I founded Kilimanjaro Holidays in 2008 in pursuit of a long time vision. I come from Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania and my wife comes from the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, we reside in Tanzania, we are Tanzanians and best people to present our Tanzania and what it has to offer to you unpretentiously.
Though we formally started the business in 2008, our experience dates back from 1990s when I was employed by one of the most reputable chain of luxury safari lodges. Mary has assisted with a family owned safari and hotel business. Mary’s father was a pioneer of the tourism business in Tanzania owning the first indigenous hunting safari and tour company the then Victoria Tours and Duluti and Tanzanite Lodges in the Northern circuit.. Therefore we understand travellers’ needs and can accommodate them and offer much more.

We are deeply rooted into the lives of average Tanzanians and as such we get involved in different social initiatives whenever possible in the areas of education, girls and women empowerment and sport education. Kilimanjaro Holidays supports Future Stars Academy (FSA). FSA is a local NGO based in Arusha that trains over 150 vulnerable youth both boys and girls (ages 8-17) to be role models and ambassadors to the community using Football as the tool. With football kids/youth can learn about team work, responsibility, attitude and most of all they stay in school to have a chance in life at a later age.
